He has worked with athletes across a wide range of sport disciplines at over 50 international events including 6 Olympic Games and 18 World Championship and Commonwealth Games.  In addition to treating patients, he lectures to chiropractic and health care professionals around the world. Dr. Rayfield brings deep chiropractic expertise along with experience as a competitive athlete and coach to your treatment team. He is dedicated to providing the same expert treatment that elite athletes receive to people of any age, any activity level and any injury or condition. Movement and activity are the key to health and recovery from injury. Dr. Rayfield enjoys treating a variety of different injuries and conditions from repetitive strain injuries and postural corrections to low back pain and headaches. He uses soft tissue therapy (ART®), spinal manipulation and exercise to accomplish these goals. His experience as a former Varsity Track and Field athlete led Dr. Rayfield to work closely with both elite athletes and track and field clubs.  For over a decade, he has coached sprinters and hurdlers at the local club level.  He also travels across the country to coach and provide chiropractic and soft tissue services at numerous athletic events.

Born and raised in Orillia, Dr. Mike Duffy has extensive ties in the community throughout his years of athletics including hockey, soccer, baseball and track-and-field. He attended The University of Western Ontario where he received his Bachelor of Arts Honours Specialization in Kinesiology. In 2015, Dr. Mike graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in Toronto, with clinical honours.

Dr. Brown was selected as a member of the Integrated Sports Medical Team for the Men’s Canadian Alpine Ski Team and will be travelling with the team throughout the 2016/17 World Cup competition season.

She grew up in Orillia, Ontario where her passion for sports chiropractic began at a young age. With a particular interest in biomechanics and sports injuries, her focus is on restoring pain free functional motion, and in injury prevention.  After obtaining her Doctor of Chiropractic, she completed her post-graduate work to become a Chiropractic Sports Specialist and Fellow of the Royal College of Chiropractic Sports Science (Canada).  Dr. Brown is also a certified Contemporary Medical Acupuncture Provider (McMaster University), an Active Release Techniques (ART®) practitioner, and a certified Graston® provider.

Dr. Allison McFarlane is a graduate of CMCC, coming to Back to Function with a strong background in exercise and nutrition. She draws from a variety of techniques, including Active Release Technique, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and functional assessment systems, which allows her to individualize treatment plans to every patient’s needs. Allison believes that patient education, personalized treatment, and exercise interventions form the foundation of patient care, allowing patients to understand their underlying conditions and prevent future issues from developing. Dr. McMordie is a medical doctor specializing in Sport and Exercise Medicine. Before moving her practice to Back to Function, she was practicing Primary Care Sport Medicine at several clinics in the Hamilton/Burlington area, including McMaster University and Mohawk College.

Her clinical expertise includes sport injuries, concussion, joint pain, non-operative osteoarthritis management, platelet-rich plasma, cortisone, trigger point, and viscosupplementation injections.

When physiotherapist is a critical component of your treatment, Jessica is a key player on your team. Her expertise includes the treatment of low back pain and sciatica, neck pain, postural correction, musculoskeletal soft tissue and sports injuries, post-operative therapy and functional impairments through out the oncology process. She is one of the few certified MDT clinicians north of the GTA and is also certified in providing acupuncture.

Kerri brings a strong rehabilitation background to your treatment. She has years of experience working with people of all ages – from children to seniors – to address a wide range of conditions including low back and shoulder rehabilitation, concussion and acquired brain injuries.  Water rehabilitation is also her specialty and is often incorporated into rehabilitation programs for people with sports injuries, cancer, neurodegenerative conditions and more.  Kerri provides individual training and group conditioning programs for Olympic and amateur athletes, is a Trainer for two local hockey teams and provides first aid services at community and athletic events.

As a result of her passion she completed the Occupational Assistant and Physiotherapy Assistant program at Georgian College. She has experience in a variety of areas including concussion treatment and post-op joint replacement with a specific interest in active rehabilitation.

Shelby is a former competitive dancer, experienced in Jazz, Hip-Hop and Acro. She is also a passionate supporter of grassroots athletics and dance. As well she is an avid outdoors person in beautiful Northern Ontario.
